Our IT and Technical Services department is responsible for specifying, installing and maintaining the company’s IT systems, telecoms equipment, CCTV installations, website and print, fax and copy facilities across 19 sites in Southern England.
The Role: Based in Fareham, Hants and reporting to the IT & Technical Services manager, you will be involved in all aspect of the department. This includes the installation and configuration of new equipment and training users, as well as maintaining and upgrading existing equipment & systems. You will also be helping to provide telephone and on-site support to approximately 100 users across all departments, and liaising with equipment suppliers, external contractors and service providers.
The Person: Educated to at least A level standard, the successful candidate will have experience of administering multi-site, multi-server networks, Windows Server 2003 and will have intuitive problem solving skills. Experience with website management, Linux, MySQL, Visual Studio 2010, Crystal Reports, telecom systems and CCTV systems would be advantageous, but we don’t expect you to know everything about everything at the start! A full driving licence is essential, as is a willingness to work flexible hours when required.
The Package: £18k - £22k depending on skills and experience, plus profit related bonus. Home broadband, landline and mobile telephone after a qualifying period. A vehicle will be provided when working away from our Fareham office. The company will also support your continuous professional development plan with internal or external training opportunities.
